Description
Garden Cottage is a house dating from around 1700, built of brown brick with a thatched roof. It has two storeys and an attic. The brickwork features courses of stretchers alternating with courses of headers and stretchers, with galleted mortar courses. The building includes a plinth, a plat band, and kneelered parapet gables. There is a dormer window and stacks on the left side and at the right end. The windows are regularly arranged, with two wooden casements on the first floor and two glazing bar sashes on the ground floor, along with a central half-glazed door that has a flat hood supported by brackets.
The interior has been altered.
Attached to the left side of the house is a garden wall made of brown brick, approximately 8 feet high, extending about 10 yards to the west before changing direction.
