Description
The churchyard wall, gates, and gate piers of the Parish Church of St. Mary and St. Margaret were built in 1857. They are made of knapped flint, gault brick, and wrought iron. The wall features flush brick piers positioned between flint panels, which are decorated with brick lozenges. The top of the wall has a hogs back coping and includes a central date stone. The gates are set back and consist of iron railings with spear top finials, along with a dog rail on a dwarf brick wall. The gates are simple and match the design of the railings. This structure is included for its group value.
