Description
Barretts Farm House is an 18th-century farmhouse with a 19th-century extension at the rear. It is constructed from local stone in squared coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, and features a plain clay tile roof with stepped coped gables and brick end chimney stacks. The building has an 'L' plan and is two storeys high with a three-bay east elevation. The upper level has a 16-pane sash window that is set flush with the wall. Below, there is a composite sash window with 4+12+4 panes, positioned under flat voussoired heads. The central door has four fielded panels and two glazed top panels, framed by a stone architraved surround and topped with a flat stone hood supported by simple brackets. The rear extension is rendered and from the 19th century. The interior has not been seen.
