Description

Puttenden Manor Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse with a mid-19th-century extension, forming an L-shaped plan. The west front is built of coursed stone blocks with flint galletting, featuring moulded eaves and a plain tiled roof with two small hipped dormers. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. The ground floor windows are coupled 19th-century glazing bar sashes set into rendered, segment-headed surrounds. A central half-glazed and panelled door is also within a segment-headed surround. The south front is of red brick, with wide, flat projecting eaves and a plaster soffit to a hipped slate roof. This side has two storeys and a five-window front, with glazing bar sashes. A central half-glazed and panelled door is accessed via a projecting, columned porch with returned pilasters, a panelled entablature and a dentilled cornice.
