Description
Rose Cottage and Pasture, along with Boneca and Japonica Cottages, is a mid-19th century house featuring a scallop bargeboard on the front gable, with a row of smaller cottages extending to the south on Pasture Lane. The building is two storeys high, constructed of rubble, and has wide eaves beneath a shallow pitched slate roof. There is a side chimney. The front gable includes an oculus with the painted legend "Rose Cottage." The structure has bands over both the ground and first floors, and there are three windows with glazing bar sashes. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight. The three cottages in the return elevation of the lower extension to the left have five windows on the first floor, featuring glazing bar casements, while the ground floor has an irregular arrangement of windows.
