Description

This is a 19th-century spring located approximately 20 meters south of Davenport House in Duntisbourne Abbots. The spring features limestone walls and an iron rim around the pool. The pool has a bow front and stone sides, with the iron rim along the front curved edge. Surrounding the pool is a stone surround and a low retaining wall that is about 0.5 meters high. There are two stone steps leading down into the sunken area around the spring. Water flows out along a channel across the surround and into a culvert beneath the road.
