Description
Church Cottage is a detached house built around 1840. It is constructed from coursed and squared limestone, featuring ashlar dressings and quoins, with artificial stone chimneys and a stone-slate roof. The building is symmetrical, standing two stories tall with an attic, and has one room on either side of the entrance hall. At the back, there is a 20th-century outshut. The front has two windows with 16-pane sash windows and a central doorway, all topped with deep stone lintels. The front door is a six-panel design, and the chimneys are located at the gable ends along the ridge. A small leaded attic casement is found at the lower end of the building. At the back, metal windows have been inserted, which feature concrete lintels. The front of the property is enclosed by iron railing fencing with a hooped top and a central iron gate, all standing on a stone base wall.
