Description

This is a spring head located opposite the gates to Dixton Manor in Alderton. It dates from the 19th century, but may be older. The structure is made of dressed limestone and brick. It features a plank door with strap hinges set within a flat-chamfered pointed arched surround at the front of a small vaulted chamber, which has steps leading down to the spring.
