Description
Manor Farm Cottage is a building that was originally two cottages but has now been converted into one. It dates from the late 17th century to the mid-18th century. The structure features square-panelled timber framing with rendered infill on the north side. The south side has been rebuilt in brick, while the gable ends are made of coursed squared and dressed limestone. The cottage has a thatched roof with decorative ridge thatching and a coursed squared and dressed limestone stack that has been heightened with brick and ashlar. The building has a rectangular plan with the gable end facing the road.
On the south front, there are two 2-light segmental-headed wooden casements on the ground floor, along with one 20th-century two-light casement. The roof features three 2-light eyebrow dormers. A plank door is located far left, and there is a 20th-century glazed lean-to porch with glazed doors off-centre to the right. Additionally, there are four 2-light eyebrow dormers with 20th-century casements that have glazing bars. To the right of a projecting stack at the east gable end, there is a fixed casement with glazing bars, and an off-the-ridge stack is present. The interior has not been inspected.
