Description
Willow Bank is a 17th-century cottage featuring square-panelled timber-framing with rendered infill set on a limestone plinth. It has a thatched roof adorned with decorative ridge thatching and a rubble stack topped with a short brick shaft. The building has a rectangular plan and is one and a half storeys high.
On the ground floor, the windows from left to right include a small single-light casement with a horizontal glazing bar, a two-light casement with leaded panes beneath an open-sided porch, a 19th-century plank door, and a three-light casement with horizontal glazing bars. The first floor has one four-light and one two-light eyebrow dormer. The left gable end features three two-light casements, one of which lights the attic. All windows are from the 20th century.
A large projecting stack is located at the right gable end, accompanied by a semi-circular bread oven on one side. The left gable end is half-hipped. There is a 20th-century extension to the rear, which is not of special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
