BAUNTON - S.E 00 NW 6/18 Barn c25m north-west of Dilleys Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. Late C18-early C19. Coursed squared and dressed limestone; stone slate roof. Rectangular plan to barn with projecting porches on the north and south sides, lean-to to the left of the south porch and the right of the north porch, open-fronted store at the east gable end. South front; gabled porch off-centre right with double-width doorway (without doors); 2-light wooden casement and plank door with early strap hinges to the adjoining lean-to. Projecting north porch with double doorway matching that on the south. Pitching window with ventilation slit above, in the west gable end. Interior: 5 bays with collar and tie beam trusses with mechanically sawn timbers.
