Description
This barn, dating from the 18th century, is located approximately 8 meters south of Duntisbourne Leer Farmhouse. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with dressed quoins and features a stone-slate roof. The barn consists of five bays and has a central porch, with lean-tos on both the left and right sides of the porch; the right lean-to projects further than the left. At the north end, there is an additional lean-to. The porch has a gabled roof and a timber lintel above the doorway, which is fitted with plank doors. On the west side, there are barn doors set in an opening with a timber lintel, and one slit vent on either side. The south gable end has two slit vents, and the roof structure includes exposed purlin ends and a collar-truss design with two rows of purlins. There is also a stone loading bay adjoining the barn on the west side.
