Description

The barn located approximately 10 metres north-west of Home Farm dates from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring dressed stone quoins. The main body of the barn has a concrete tile roof, while a lean-to extension has a slate roof. The barn has a rectangular shape with a central projecting porch on the south side and a lean-to to the left of the porch. The porch has high double plank 'stable' type doors. Opposite the porch, there is a low double-width entrance that is now blocked, with a fixed four-light casement window inserted in the blocking. The lean-to to the left includes garage doors and a stable door. Inside, the barn consists of five bays with original collar and tie beam trusses.
