Description
No. 1 Park Street is a former lodge to Fairford Park, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of rubble stone with flush quoins and features a hipped stone slate roof, topped with a central stone ridge stack that has an offset. It is a single square range of two storeys, with a single-storey 20th-century wing at the northeast corner.
The lodge has three windows on the upper floor, which are pointed arches with Gothick tracery above a central three-light casement window at the base. On the ground floor, there are two similar pointed arch windows flanking a central pointed arch doorway, which contains a door with six flush panels. The left-hand side of the building has the main entrance, featuring a chamfered flush stone pointed archway and a recessed door with six recessed panels. There is also a canted bay window to the left, which has chamfered jambs and 1/2/1-light iron lattice casements.
