Description
No. 31 Cecily Hill is a lodge to Cirencester Park, built in the early 19th century. It features coursed squared limestone and a stone slate roof, with a pair of diagonally set ashlar flues with moulded caps on the ridge, along with a group of three similar flues on the ridge of the rear wing. The building showcases a revived Cotswold vernacular style with one gable and a small gable at the front, and it is a single storey with an attic, presenting a two-window range.
On the ground floor, there are two three-light chamfered stone-mullion windows with leaded lights, and above, there are similar two-light and three-light windows in the gables. The entrance features a plank door, divided into three panels with applied moulding, set within a chamfered stone surround. The right return facade, which faces the park, is similar and includes a door with a chamfered stone surround and a Tudor-arched head. This building forms a handed pair with No. 46 Cecily Hill and is part of a range that includes No. 29 Cecily Hill. The interior has not been inspected.
