Description
No. 17 Cecily Hill is a house built in the mid-19th century. It features coursed squared limestone with ashlar dressings and a clay tile roof, complemented by ashlar stacks at both ends. The front has one large gabled projection and a smaller gable. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range. The first floor has two 2-light chamfered stone mullion-and-transom windows with hoodmoulds, while the ground floor has a similar 3-light window to the right and a pair of single-light windows to the left. The central entrance has a part-glazed plank door beneath a tiled canopy. Each gable contains two pointed lancets in chamfered stone surrounds. There are relieving arches above the ground and first floor windows on the right side. The roof features coped verges with moulded kneelers. To the right, a 19th-century iron gate provides access to a passage leading to the rear, which is shared with No. 19 Cecily Hill. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
