House. Mid C19 with early C20 alterations; oriel window dated l909. Coursed squared limestone; stone slate roof; stone right-end stack. 2 small gables to front. 2 storeys, attic and cellar; 2-window range. First floor has one early C20 three-light metal window with leaded lights under flat arch to right; oriel window to left with rendered base, elaborately carved timber apron with initials and date WHS 1909, carved timber cornice, similar leaded lights. Two 2-light C20 windows with similar leaded lights under flat arches with dripmoulds in gables above. Ground floor has C20 bay window with leaded lights in deep recess under flat arch to left; similar 3-light window under flat arch to right. 5-panel door with overlight in timber doorcase with attached Corinthian columns supporting cornice with carved strapwork decoration to right. Moulded strings over ground and first floors. INTERIOR has oak closed string staircase with barleytwist balusters; early C20 chimneypiece in revived classical style with contemporary tiles and grate in ground floor front left. Alterations to front facade said to have been carried out by William Saunders using his own carpenters.
