Description

This group of three unidentified memorials is located about 1 metre west of the north-west path and 10 metres from the path crossing in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary. The memorials consist of three chest tombs arranged in a row. The tombs to the north and south date from the mid-18th century, while the central tomb is from the later 18th century. They are made of limestone and feature flat tops. The northern and southern chests are quite similar, each having a moulded plinth and capping, panelled corner strips, oval end panels, and larger oval side panels set within fielded rectangles. The northern chest is badly eroded on the west end and shows remnants of carving on the east end. The southern chest is missing its west end. The central chest may have originally had an inscription on top, which is now gone, and it features plain rectangular panels with the long sides divided into two, along with remains of an inscription at the east end.
