Description
The houses at 22 and 24 Church Street form a terrace built in the early 18th century. They are constructed of random coursed rubble stone, with a Cotswold stone slate roof and two stone chimney stacks. The houses are two storeys high with an attic. There are three windows to the front, featuring a variety of sash windows with wooden lintels. Two 19th-century gabled dormers are present in the attic, each with boarded gables and twin casement windows. On the ground floor, No. 22 has a large six-pane sash window and a 20th-century boarded door to the left. No. 24 features a margin sash window to the right, a blocked door in the centre, and a timber doorcase with pilaster strips and an open pediment. To the left of the doorcase is a six-panel door, with the top four panels fielded and the bottom two flush.
