Description
No. 12 Church Street is a house in a terrace, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of random coursed stone and features a coved stone eaves cornice. The roof is made of Cotswold stone slate, and there is an ashlar end stack on the left with a moulded cornice, along with a brick end stack on the right. The building consists of a single range with a restored rear wing and an adjacent house at right angles, both topped with slate roofs. It has two storeys and an attic, with two windows featuring 4-pane sashes. There is a central gabled dormer with twin casements. The property has a 19th-century shop front that includes a central door flanked by two elaborately carved end consoles adorned with lion masks. To the right, there is a passageway leading to the rear wing, which has two doors with eight flush panels.
