Description
Nos 16 and 18 on Church Street are a pair of mid-18th century houses that form part of a terrace. They are constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof and feature an ashlar end stack on the right. The buildings rise to three storeys and originally had four windows, but the second from the left is now blocked on both floors. The windows include 16-pane sashes on the lower two floors and 8-pane sashes on the top floor, all with renewed timber lintels. The ground floor of No 16 has a 20th-century shop window and door to the left, while the central entrance features a round-arched doorway with a blind fanlight and a boarded door. No 18 has a shop front dating from 1870.
