Description

The Butt Memorial is a chest tomb located immediately west of the Summers Memorial in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary. It commemorates Joseph Butt, who died in 1802. The tomb is made of limestone and features a flat top with a badly eroded carved inscription and a tooled edge. The base has an unmoulded plinth, and the long side panels are divided by three reeded strips into two ovals on both sides. The end panels are rectangular.
