Description
There are two unidentified memorials located in the churchyard of St Mary's Church. They are situated on an isolated grassy triangle to the south of the church tower.
The first memorial is a chest tomb from the 18th century made of limestone, featuring bolstered ends. The inscriptions on this tomb are not decipherable. It is set diagonally, rather than in the traditional east-west orientation, and is positioned approximately 32 feet west of the south porch door.
The second memorial is also a chest tomb from the 18th century, constructed of limestone and adorned with quarter balusters. The date 1858 is visible, although the tomb itself is believed to be older. This tomb is located about 28 feet south-west of the south porch door.
