ST 79 NE CAM CHURCH ROAD 4/10L (north side)
Group of five memorials, including Robert Hughes, c3 m east of east wall of chancel to GV Parish Church of St Goerg

Five memorials, aligned in parallel due north-south and c3 m from east wall of chancel; cll m overall from north to south.
(i) Chest tomb. Late C17. Limestone. Thick moulded top, splayed base, lyre ends. Various relatively crude carved trophies including skull and cross-bones, har glass, agricultural implements; rectangular sunk panel, but inscriptions not legible.
(ii) Chest tomb. Late C17. Limestone. Thick moulded top, moulded base, carved decoration, square sunk panel, but inscription not legible. Located immediately north of previous memorial and of essentially the same design.
(iii) Chest tomb. Early C18. Limestone. Thick moulded top, moulded base, lyre ends, some rectangular panels with decoration, but inscriptions not legible. Invaded by ivy at time of survey; located immediately east of north-east corner of chancel.
(iv) Tall chest tomb. Early C18. Limestone. Moulded top and cavetto base, plain quarter balusters, moulded curround to raised panel, but inscriptions not legible. Leaning, and invaded by ivy at time of survey.
(v) Chest tomb. Early C19. Plain edged top, ¾ reeded corner columns. To ROBERT HUGHES, 1809. Leaning and invaded by ivy at the time of survey; the most northerly item in this group.
