Description

This group consists of two chest tombs and one tall chest tomb located approximately 6 meters east of the southeast corner of the chancel of the Parish Church of St Bartholomew.

The first chest tomb dates from the mid-18th century and is made of limestone. It features a thick moulded top, baroque quarter balusters, and cartouches, but the inscriptions are not legible. The north side is missing, the base is sunk, and the memorial is in poor condition.

The second chest tomb, also from the mid-18th century and made of limestone, has a thick moulded top and a cavetto base on a plinth, with crudely carved lyre ends. An inscription on the south side dates from the mid-19th century, but the design is in the 18th-century baroque style and is associated with the name Hill.

The third memorial is a tall chest tomb from the early 19th century, made of sandstone. It has a weathered top with a square edge and a chamfered base on a podium that was formerly railed. The panels are plain with quadrant corners, and it commemorates Benjamin Hill, who died in 1820.

These three memorials are grouped with three others, which are not included in this description, located immediately to the northwest.
