Gates, Gate Piers, and Walling in approach to Parish Church of St George II

Gates, gate piers and walls with buttresses. Gates and posts in cast iron, walls and buttresses squared and coursed limestone, but at street (south) end pair sandstone piers c 600 mm square and 2 m high. Walling to left in eight bays divided by square butresses with double offset, wall c 2.75 m high with double weathered roll cap coping, late C20 structure added in last two bays (nearest church) forming other gable to adjoining premises. To right 5 bays similar treatment, stopped at entrance to new Rectory (not included). Pair cast-iron gates c 1.5 m high, spear-head railings, hung to square Gothick cast-iron posts.
