House, now shop and attached railings. c1820-34. Stucco over brick with concealed roof and stucco side stack; cast- and wrought-iron railings, window boxes and porch. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basement, 3 first-floor windows (that to right on curve). Stucco detailing includes first-floor band; crowning cornice and blocking course. 6/6 sashes, those to right are curved on section (some panes renewed); centre first-floor window is blind; all in plain reveals and with sills. Entrance to left a part-glazed, 4-panel door in fluted surround with cambered overlight with decorative glazing bars. INTERIOR: noted as retaining original joinery and plasterwork, including cornices. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: porch has Greek key frieze and double scroll motif to uprights; arrowhead railings and gate with urn finials to stanchions; ornate grille to basement window. HISTORICAL NOTE: Regent Street was originally made up of houses, boarding houses and hotels. Abuts No.20 (qv). Occupies a corner site with its right return to Ormond Place.
