Description

NORTHLEW NORTHLEW SX 59 NW 9/242 South View - GV II Small house. Circa early C18. Rendered cob and rubble walls. Gable ended thatch roof. 2 brick end stacks. Plan: 2-room plan, both heated by end stacks and with central entrance into hall. Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 3-window front; the 2 1st floor left-hand windows are C19 3 and 2-light casements with otherwise C20 3-light casements. Central C20 leanto which has a part-glazed door to the left. Interior: open fireplace with plain wooden lintel. Probably C19 roof consisting of straight principals resting on the wall-plate.
