Description

Castle House is a small house located on Winkleigh High Street, dating from the early 18th century, with a 20th-century addition. The house features rendered cob walls and a gable-ended thatch roof, supported by two rendered brick gable-end stacks. It has a two-room plan, with each room being of equal size and heated by a fireplace at the gable end. The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with two windows, featuring early 20th-century small-paned two-light casements. There is a central porch, also from the 20th century, that has a thatched roof and part-glazed doors. The interior has not been inspected.
