Description

The Speare headstone, located approximately 10 meters south-west of St Petrock in Inwardleigh, is a Grade II listed headstone dated 1761, commemorating Joanna and Samuel Speare. It is made of slate and features a straight head that is intricately carved with six winged angel's heads at the top, along with a decorative border running down either side. Below the head, there is a rhyming epitaph.
