Description

This headstone, located approximately 15 metres south of the south door of the south aisle of the old Church of St Mary, dates from 1746. It is made of slate and features a rectangular shape with a shaped panel. The corners are adorned with relief carvings of an hourglass, a book, and a scythe. The headstone commemorates Abigail, the wife of Thomas Willson Speight of Bunny, who died in 1746. It is signed by the sculptor, W. Charles.
