Description

LAMERTON LAMERTON SX 47 NE 3/51 - Terrell monument and railings in the churchyard about 4m south of south aisle of Church of St Peter GV II

Chest tomb and railings. Early C19. Limestone and cast iron. Flat top with moulded edge, moulded plinth, moulded Tudor arched panel to north and south with inscription to south, similar narrower arched panel to east and west, pilasters with cusped recessed panels. To Elizabeth Terrell and other members of the family, earliest decipherable date 1856. Railings have base plate with pierced circles, rails with knobs and round arches, urn finials. In poor condition at time of survey, May 1985.
