Description
The Bloy monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 6 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St Peter in Lamerton. It dates from the 18th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a nowy head with a primitive carved skull, crossed bones, and the inscription "MEMENTO MORI." It is adorned with two sprays of leaves and bold lettering that includes scroll decoration. The monument commemorates George Bloy, who passed away in 1761.
