Description
The monument to --- Terrett is located in the churchyard about 2.75 meters east of the northeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. This late 18th-century chest tomb is made of sandstone and features a lofty design with a flat top that has a moulded edge, flat inscription panels, and a moulded base, all set on a two-stepped platform. The inscriptions are worn but include the date 1800 on the north side and mention --- Terrett of NASS Farm, 1937, on the south side. This tomb is the northernmost of a group of five tombs situated immediately east of the chancel wall.
