Description
The Elizabeth (?) Brown monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Peter, approximately 3 metres north of the tower. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a partially legible inscription and has a moulded plinth. The north side has a fielded inscription plaque, while the rest of the north side is plain. It includes fluted marginal panels and quarter balusters at the corners, with fielded panels at the ends. The capping has a moulded margin and an upper capping stone that steps inwards above. At the time of the survey in February 1986, the capping stone was noted to be badly eroded.
