Description

The Cavaliers is an 18th-century house with a 19th-century addition. It is constructed of rendered cob and rubble walls, with a gable-ended thatched roof and corrugated asbestos to the rear wing. There are two gable-end brick stacks to the front range and one to the rear wing.

The house's plan comprises two heated rooms to the front range, possibly with an integral rear wing behind the right-hand end, and a 19th-century wing behind the left-hand room.

The front of the house presents an asymmetrical facade with two windows, featuring 20th-century two- and three-light casements. A 19th-century panelled door is located to the right of centre. Two wings extend to the rear.

The interior was inaccessible at the time of survey.

The building is appreciated for its group value, contributing to the character of the area.
