Description
Bolberry Vean is a house built around the early 18th century, with a 19th-century addition. It features plastered rubble walls, which may include some cob, and has a gable-ended thatched roof, while the rear outshut has a slate roof. There are two brick stacks at the gable ends.
The original layout likely consisted of a two-room plan with a central passage, with both rooms being heated. A 19th-century outshut was added to the rear of the house. The property was modernized and had its windows replaced in the mid-20th century.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a regular three-window front with mid-20th century metal-frame two-light casements that have small panes. There is a 20th-century lean-to glazed porch to the right of the center, which has a tiled roof. The original doorway is now disused, and access is through the rear addition. The interior was inaccessible during the survey.
