Description

Bolberry House Farm is a farmhouse built around 1840 to 1860, with later 19th and 20th-century additions. The structure features stone rubble walls that are stuccoed at the front, and it has a slate roof that is hipped at the left end and gabled at the cross wing. There are three brick stacks: one at each end and one between the main range and the cross wing.

The plan suggests that the main range is likely double depth and two rooms wide, with service rooms at the rear. The cross wing is located at the right-hand end and includes an entrance passage on one side. The exterior is two storeys high with an attic and has a symmetrical arrangement of windows. The front has three windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor, with 16-pane horned sashes above and 20-pane sashes below. The central entrance features a 20th-century glazed door and is topped by a dentilled eaves cornice. The cross wing projects slightly and has a tripartite 16-pane sash window on the first floor and a canted bay sash window below. There is a single round-headed attic light, and the doorway to the left of the bay window is also round-headed, featuring a rusticated surround and a four-panel door. At the rear and left end, there is a lean-to with a 20th-century addition in between.

The interior has not been inspected but may contain original joinery elements such as panelled doors, shutters, and a staircase.
