Description
The walls and gate piers forming garden walls to Leacombe and Westbrook were built in the mid-19th century. They are made of painted granite at the base and limestone at the top. The walls stand approximately 2 meters high and curve from Bitton Park Road into Westbrook Avenue for about 15 meters, also extending in front of No. 98 for another 15 meters. The caps of the gate piers feature triangular trefoiled panels on all four gabled sides, with double rollmoulding along the ridges. The parapet includes a series of eight recessed trefoil-headed panels, which are highlighted by chamfered pilasters beneath a cornice that rises up to the piers.
