Pair of houses. Early C19 with probable earlier origins. Incised stucco, slate roof with rendered stacks to gable ends. Double-depth plan. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. 6/6-pane sash windows, those to No.10 to the right are C20 with horns except the central 1st-floor window at eaves level (part of No.10), which has hinged flaps to the jambs implying that it does not have counterweights. The central doorcases, not paired, have moulded architraves, plain friezes and moulded cornices; No.9 has a 2-pane overlight, No.10 has panelled reveals and soffit, and a 6-panel door glazed to the top. These are flanked by flat-roofed canted bays. INTERIORS: not inspected.
