Description
No. 2 Hall's Lane is a house that has been divided into flats and was formerly the lodge to Broadgate House, which has since been demolished. It likely dates from around 1850 to 1860 and features 20th-century extensions. The building has limestone rubble walls and two rendered gable end stacks, topped by a gable-ended asbestos slate roof. Originally, it had a two-heated room plan with a central entrance hall. The structure is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front with a central two-storeyed porch. The original windows are two-light casements with arched lights and recessed spandrels, while the porch window also has an arched head. The windows are topped with flat arches, and the porch features a pointed arched doorway with a 20th-century plank door. There are flat-roofed extensions added to the right-hand side and rear of the building. The interior has not been inspected, and this building is not shown on the Tithe map.
