Description

No. 41, Bedehouse Lane is a house, originally comprised of two dwellings, likely dating from the early 19th century. It is shown on the 1841 Tithe Map. The building is constructed of roughly coursed rubble stone with a stone slab roof and red and black brick ridge stacks. The plan is a single unit with service areas to the rear, and side stairs situated against the end walls. The house has two storeys. Each original dwelling has two bays; the entrance bay lacks a window above, while the other bay features a one-light window to the first floor and a two-light mullioned window to the ground floor, all with stone surrounds. 20th-century flush casements are present; a similar casement has been inserted into the former right-hand door opening. A flat-roofed 20th-century extension is set back to the left.
