Description
30 Bedehouse Lane is a building that was originally three houses, likely built in the early 19th century, as indicated on the 1841 Tithe Map. The structure features very roughly coursed rubble and a stone slab roof. It is two stories tall and has a layout typical of the Arkwright phase I type, consisting of a single unit with services and side stairs against the party and end walls. The front elevation has two bays, with the entrance bay lacking windows above, while the other bay contains a single-light window on the first floor and a two-light mullioned window on the ground floor, all framed with stone surrounds. The doorways are topped with massive lintels, and both the doorways and windows remain intact, though the windows have 20th-century casements with glazing bars. At the rear, which faces the Almshouses, there are four windows, two of which may be in their original openings, while the others have UPVC casements.
