Description
Nos 82 and 84 Cromford Hill are two houses dating to the early 19th century, as shown on the 1841 Tithe Map, and later altered in the late 19th century. They are built of coursed rubble with a tiled roof, and feature red and black brick ridge stacks. The houses are similar in design to those built during the Arkwright Phase I, and are two and a half storeys high. Each house has two window bays, with entrance bays to the right and left, lacking windows above. The windows are two-light units on all floors, with those on the upper half-storey incorporating stone mullions and being placed under small gables. 20th-century casement windows and doors are present. There are two outshuts, one with stone surrounds, and a side door set within a pegged surround.
