Description
73 Ford is a detached cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble and features a thatched roof with gabled and hipped ends, as well as eyebrow eaves. The cottage has two storeys and a two-window range, with 20th-century casements that include glazing bars. The central entrance is a glazed door with a 20th-century wooden porch. There are external rendered chimney stacks on the right-hand (northeast) side. The thatch extends down over a lean-to at the left-hand (southwest) end. At the time of a survey in 1983, another lean-to was being built at the northeast end, and there is a 20th-century hipped thatched roof wing at the rear.
