Description

No. 42 is a pair of cottages that have been converted into one dwelling. They date from around the 18th century, with a 19th-century extension. The building is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and features a thatched roof with a hipped end facing the road. The opposite west end has a slated roof with a gable end above the 19th-century extension. The structure is two storeys high and has four windows. The windows are two-light casements from the 19th or early 20th century, complete with glazing bars. There is a 20th-century glazed door with a slated hood. A rendered chimney stack is located over the rear wall, while a red brick stack is positioned at the gable end of the 19th-century extension.
