Description
Nos 40 and 41 are a row of three cottages, which have been converted into two cottages, dating from around the 18th century. They are constructed of roughcast stone rubble and feature a thatched roof with gabled ends and eyebrow eaves. The buildings are two storeys high and have a five-window range. The windows include 19th and 20th century two and three-light casements with glazing bars. There are also two 20th century glazed doors with slated hoods and a left-hand flush panel door. Stone chimney stacks are present at the gable ends, which have been heightened in red brick. The west end has one bay that is slightly later in construction. Additionally, there is a short hipped roof wing at the rear of No. 41, located to the northeast.
