Description
No. 34 (The Stores) is a range of cottages with shop premises, dating from around the 18th century and remodelled in the late 19th or early 20th century. The building is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and features a slate roof with gabled ends. It stands two storeys high and has a four-window range. The windows are 20th-century two-light casements with glazing bars. To the left of centre, there is a small shop window with glazing bars but no architrave. At the centre, there are glazed early 20th-century doors beneath an early 20th-century slated hood, while the right side has an early 20th-century wooden porch. A rendered chimney stack at the gable end has been heightened in brick. At the rear, there is a stone rubble wing with a slate roof, forming an L-shaped plan, which includes a cart entrance with a segmental brick arch. The building is included for its group value.
