Description

No. 83 is a detached cottage dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble and cob, topped with a thatched roof featuring gabled ends, a hipped corner, and eyebrow eaves. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high. Facing the road, there are two windows, which are 19th-century two-light casements with glazing bars. To the left, there is a 20th-century glazed door with a slated hood above it. An external chimney stack is located at the east gable end, which includes an oven projection.
