Description
Nos 89 and 90 are a pair of cottages located at right angles to the road, dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. They are constructed from plastered stone rubble and cob, topped with a thatched roof featuring gabled and hipped ends, as well as eyebrow eaves. The cottages are two storeys high and present a long four-window range. The windows are 19th and 20th century casements with glazing bars. There is a 20th century slate hood over the right-hand doorway, while No 90 has thatch eaves that sweep down over its doorway to create a hood. The cottages have rebuilt brick chimney stacks located at the ridge and gable end, along with another chimney with set-offs on the southwest corner at the road end.
